With all the self-help books, podcasts, and advice out there, it's easy to believe that there is some combination of things you should be doing in some particular order to have the "perfect life." That there is always a "right way" to do something and live your life and a "wrong way" to do something and live your life.
But why? Why do we strive for perfection in all things and all relationships, including those things we have zero control over? Including those things we don't always care that much about? Why? Why? Why? And is there a way to break away from these false expectations of perfection that we place on ourselves? If so, how?
