WRITING PROMPTS to help you explore today’s topic:

  1. Write a journal entry about the last time you felt proud of yourself.

  2. Write about the pros and cons of pride. When is feeling prideful ‘good’? When is feeling prideful ‘bad’?

  3. Write a fictional scene that portrays someone doing something they should be proud of themselves for doing. Or write a fictional scene that portrays someone doing something they should feel ashamed of themselves for doing.

  4. Write a poem that captures the essence of pride.

My response to today’s question:

The scene includes a school librarian and a parent. Can you guess what it might be about? Keep reading to see what I wrote…
