5 Photo Prompts to Kickstart Your Writing: Summer Edition
Kickstart your writing with one (or all) of the five photo prompts shared in today’s post. Then share what you write in a comment or subscriber chat thread so we can chat about it. Have fun!
Below are five photo prompts you can use to kickstart your writing. Use one or all of them—it’s entirely up to you. Just write whatever comes to mind when you first look at the photo, whether it’s a scene, a dialogue, a memory, an essay, a poem, etc. Just see what it inspires you to write.
If nothing comes to mind when you first look at one of the photos, ask yourself questions about the photo that start with ‘what’, ‘who’, ‘why’, ‘when’, ‘where’, and ‘how’ (Ex. How did the main character get here? Why are they here? Who is with them? How does this make me feel? etc.).
